Histoire administrative
Criada pela Portaria GR-121/1983, a Diretoria Geral de Recursos Humanos (DGRH) funcionou inicialmente como Setor de Pessoal da Divisão Administrativa e, posteriormente, como Diretoria de Pessoal, ambos inseridos na estrutura da Diretoria Geral da Administração (DGA). Como órgão central de recursos humanos, a DGRH teria atribuições de planejamento, coordenação, orientação técnica, controle das atividades de pessoal e proposição política de benefícios sociais e vantagens para os servidores. Atualmente ligado ao Gabinete do Reitor (GR), de acordo com a Resolução GR-053/2021, o órgão contribui com a elaboração e execução de políticas de gestão de pessoas, com a missão de promover o desenvolvimento integrado dos servidores para alcançar excelência nos serviços prestados e relações saudáveis de trabalho.

A family is reported, in which a Portuguese father and four Brazilian siblings are afected by Andrade´s familial amyloid polyneuropathy (FAP). The father was studied in 1940 and was the first case of FAP reported in the literature, though not identified as such at that time. Three siblings died as consequence of FAP. A comparative study of the clinical profiles is correlated to the pathological findings obtained in for autopsies. Besides the classical neurologic and digestive disturbances, the following are worth mentioning: severe thickening of the leptomeninges due to amyloidosis (cases 1 and 2)with contrast retention in myelography (case 2), unusual pathologic evolution of an elbow fracture (case3), intense renal involvelment ( case3) and Argyll Robertson sign (case 2 and 3).
