The vertical Bridgman method used to grow single crystals of RbFeS2 and KFeS2 with dimensions of 30 mm in lenght and 10 mm circular. Characterization by X-ray diffraction confirmed the formation of single crystals. The crystals of KFeS2 and RbFeS2 presented a very well defined cleavage plane normal to the [110] direction.

Experimental results are presented concerning the influence of H2O2 on the crystaline orientation of thin PbS films obtained by chemical deposition on glass substrates.
By using X-Ray diffraction it was verified that the film texture is affected by H2O2 resulting in a markedly preferred orientation in <200> direction.
